Lax Update

Well we the men's club lacrosse were scheduled to play Dickinson this week in the playoff match up. A game that wasn't going to be as big of a push over as we originally thought. However we were able to catch a break and ended up getting basically a bye to the elite 8 which is scheduled for next weekend in Richmond, Virginia. Nationals next week are gonna be a blast; we leave Friday with the elite 8 and final 4 games happening Saturday and the championship in which I hope we make that's on Sunday. I feel like we have a legit shout especially if our team plays at the level it's capable to. I will keep you all posted! Let's go ROCK!

E-folio

A sigh of relief knowing that my E-folio is done and turned in. It's just a huge weight lifted of my shoulders, not that it was something that I was really concerned about or unprepared but to just have it finished and out of the way right now is awesome. I can just focus on cruising through the rest of the semester now and idk about you but I cannot WAITTT for the end of the semester. It is exciting though to see the finished project of an assignment that you've been working on for a month; I hope you all are pleased with your finished poortfolio and that it didn't cause to much stress on you.

SRU Men's Lacrosse

Well I don't know if people knew or not about the game this sunday for the Men's Lacrosse team; but it was #2 ranked Cincinatti that came here in hopes to knock us out of our #1 ranked position. Although they tried we were able to remain on top with a final of 10-8. This is going to give us the number one seed entering the playoffs and a favorite to win the National Tournament this year. The look on there faces after the game could be one that's labled PRICELESS, you could tell that they came in prepared to try and win in hopes to attain the #1 ranking. Although they drove in a night before to get enough rest and what had looked like to be focused in the pregame we were able to get to our game early by getting a couple goals and playing solid defense. That really set the tone for the game our defense and goaltending were putting on a clinic. We controlled the ball for the majority of the game and basically had control of the whole game despite the final score.

Keep checking back, there are going to be more posts talking about our playoff and national status/experience. Thanks!!

Registering

So this is the first semester that SRU has changed from using RockTalk to MySRU. Prior to myself actually registering I heard a variety of different responses; people complaining calling it stressful and then the opposite with people saying it was 100x easier/better. I'm not sure if I should give credit to all the people that registered prior to me for working out all the kinks or not because I had no troubles at all registering. I'm used to having to walk around campus and getting signed into all of my classes since I'm considered exploratory and with this new system I didn't have to. Typically when registration comes around I get stressed out because not only do I have to be signed in but there were never many spots opened in the classes I tried to get into. So for me this new system was extremely easy compared to RockTalk.
